Heart Ring - Super Easy
Instructions have been updated on February 18, 2014.
My good friend, Dedri, pointed out that part of the pattern was not clear.
She was absolutely right.
I have added a couple more pictures and changed a line or two.
I hope that it is clearer now.
Thanks Dedri!

Below the pattern instructions,
you will find a step by step Photo Tutorial by Dedri.
She took pictures of the entire process.
I cannot believe that she found the time.

She has some really remarkable patterns:
I
needed a quick and easy Valentine for my mother’s gift basket at work.
I
wanted to make it as easy as possible.
This
one works up very fast (5 minutes).
The yarn stretches a bit so it can fit different size fingers.
It could also be used as a dangle for a key chain.

Regarding copyright:
This is a free

But please, do not sell the pattern or reproduce the text
without permission.
Pattern Notes:
- Unless
instructed, work in both loops
of each stitch.
- Work
over the beginning yarn end to eliminate weaving it in.
- Be
sure to close the Magic ring center.
After completing a couple stitches, another tug on the beg yarn-end
should keep the center closed.
- You
can vary the thickness of the yarn a bit, and also the hook size.
If
you want a larger heart on your finger, use a larger hook.
Be
sure to measure the chain length to fit the finger.
The
yarn can stretch a bit, so a tad smaller may be okay.
Also,
the rings can be sized to fit any finger, including thumb (or toes).
Heart:
Rnd 1: MR, Ch 1, 5 Sc in the ring.
Tightly, pull the beg yarn-end to close the ring. DO NOT
JOIN. (5)
Rnd 2: 5 Hdc in the first sc.
Turn the piece over to look at the back.
You will note that there is a loop behind the top two
“V” loops of each Hdc.
Mark together with a safety pin or Stitch
marker
the Back Loop
of the “V” (Red Arrow) and the Loop
behind (Underlined in Green) on the 3rd
Hdc.
Leave the front loop free.
Now turn the piece back to the front and continue.
Ss in the next sc.
5 Hdc in the next sc.
Mark
together: the Back Loop and the Loop behind the 4th Hdc.
Leave the front loop free.
Turn the piece to the front again and continue.
Sc
in next st.
(Sc,
Ch 2, Sc) in the next st.
Sc
in next st (Note: this sc is stitched into the first Hdc).
Ss into the next st.
Note: The
next stitch should be the first marked stitch.
Ss through both the Back Loop and the Loop behind [the loops that
you marked on the 3rd Hdc].
Ring: Ch 7
(or # of chs needed to fit finger size)
Join through both the Back Loop and the Loop
behind the next marked st (the 4rd Hdc).
Ch 1 and FO.
Weave in.
Finished.
Enjoy!
